The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, GMC & ESIC Hospital continues to be committed in ensuring that all women of all ages can receive exceptional medical and surgical evidence-based care. We strive to be one of the premier teaching institutes in South India and are dedicated to educating our MBBS students creating awareness and engaging them in research. We are dedicated to offering the full complement of basic Obstetric and Gynecological care as well as advanced care.

Our department includes totally 11 doctors, 1 professor, 4 assistant professor, 4 senior residents and 2 junior residents.

Our department is totally 60 bedded, Mother and Child are to be cared for the most.

We also have dedicated Obstetric High Dependency Unit (HDU) and ICU to care for women with medical and obstetric complications.

We offer Pre-Conceptional Counseling to all pregnant women.

We offer family planning services. We also treat patients of gynaec oncology.

We offer Adolescent Gynecology counseling and treatment.

We perform Minimal Access Surgery, Open surgeries and vaginal sugeries.
